Put a frog in a vessel of water and start heating the water.

Put a frog in a vessel of water and start heating the water.
As the temperature of the water rises, the frog is able to adjust its body temperature accordingly.
The frog keeps on adjusting with increase in temperature...
Just when the water is about to reach boiling point, the frog is not able to adjust anymore...
At that point the frog decides to jump out...
The frog tries to jump but is unable to do so, because it has lost all its strength in adjusting with the rising water temperature...
Very soon the frog dies.
What killed the frog?
Many of us would say the boiling water...
But the truth is what killed the frog was its own inability to decide when it had to jump out.
We all need to adjust with people and situations, but we need to be sure when we need to adjust and when we need to confront/face.
There are times when we need to face the situation and take the appropriate action...
If we allow people to exploit us physically, mentally, emotionally or financially, they will continue to do so...
We have to decide when to jump.
Let us jump while we still have the strength.
Think on It !!
I love this message every time I read...

Thank God that you aren’t born in North Korea

Stop whatever you are doing right now, just stop! Take a moment and thank God that you aren’t born in North Korea. Democratic people’s republic of Korea is an insane place, dictated by supreme leader Kim Jong- Un. Here are some mind boggling facts-

1. DPRK claims itself to be democratic and it does hold elections after every 5 years. Here’s a slight twist- th ballot contains only one candidate, that’s right- 100% votes for the leader.

2. North Korea is all about loyalty. In the pictures you may have noticed people crying when around the dictator or around the statues of ex-dictators. It is said that the authority has secret agents who observe the body language of people, i.e., if they are faking cry or grief, they are immediately punished for not being loyal.

3. Due to lack of resources, North Korea is forced to use human feces as fertilizer to meet the demands.

4. North Korea follows three generation punishment rule i.e., if a person is convicted, along with him/her, his/her parents, partner and kids will be sent to work camps.

5. Marijuana is legal and isn’t classified as a drug.

6. North Korea is the only country in the world which has captured US Navy’s ship.

7. An American soldier has been living in North Korea since 1962 ‘happily’. That’s what he said!

8. It’s not 2015 in North Korea, it’s 104 currently, counted after birth of Kim Il- Sung.

9. Forget about the internet, there are only three TV channels to watch. To have a computer, you must take permission from the authority. People are allowed to choose only one of these hairstyles!

10. Kim Jon- un killed his uncle in a very brutal way. He threw him naked in a cage of 120 hungry dogs. Later he killed his entire blood line.

11. Ruthless and mindless dictator also recruits young, beautiful girls in a ‘pleasure army’, meant to ‘entertain’ and give sexual services to the loyal and top officials.

12. Passports, mobile phone will be confiscated at the airport itself. You’ll be accompanied by North Korea officials throughout, who will keep an eye on you. You won’t be allowed to take pictures or talk to natives, except for those whom the guards asks you to. You are not permitted to travel anywhere you want to. Read the warning here, and you’ll be clear.

What do you think the people living there should do? Should they escape? They are not allowed to cause the entire country is guarded by military, so that people aren’t able to run away.

Bit long message but worth Food for thought

CHICKPET is known the business hub of Bangalore City with more than 1000 shops in the locality. This place is always crowed as people throng to buy clothes, furnitures, toys etc. at a wholesale price.
Yesterday, I had been there as part of my educational research to talk to few shop keepers to understand how they do business and what education has to do to them with regards to their business. During my interaction with many shop keepers in Chickpet, I found that, most of them were from Rajasthan. One more interesting thing that I found was that most of them were in their teenage ( 18, 19, 20, 21 ).
Out of all, meeting a young 10th std dropout who runs a clothes shop was very interesting. His name is Bramhadev from Rajasthan. I thought of sharing few our discussions here.
As I went into the crowded shop as a customer, he greeted me with a great smile calling "Anna banni, en bekithu". (Meaning: Brother, what do you want)
(The conversation was in Kannada. I have translated it below)
Myself: I wanted to check for some nice shirt and pant piece.
Bramhadev: Tell me sir, what is the range you are looking at ?
Myself: You first show me all the clothes, let me choose out of those.
Bramhadev: Sure sir and started showing me all his collections. (Meanwhile during the selection time, I thought of asking him few questions, which was my only intention)
Myself: How did you learn Kannada ?
Bramhadev: Sir, obviously by talking to people.
Myself: But, your Kannada is very fluent !
Bramhadev: Sir, initially, I found it difficult, but, when I continued speaking to customers, I learnt it on the fly. Now, I speak better than Bangalore Kanndigas. ( Laughing loud )
Myself: Superb. When did you start this business ? Bramhadev: Its almost 10 years now. I started it when I failed in my 10th. My uncle got me into this business.
Myself: How many languages can you speak ?
Brahmadev: I can speak, Hindi, English, Kannada, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam(To an extent).
Myself: Oh my God ! How did you learn so many ? Brahmadev: I told you sir, Customers taught me (Laughs again)
Myself: Sorry to ask you, but still out of curiosity, I just wanted to know what would be your monthly turnover ?
Brahmadev: Ummmm, it depends on the festival season. Normally, the turnover would be around 8 - 9 lakhs per month, and during festivals it will shoot up to 15 lakhs. Profit upto Rs. 4 lakh per month.
Myself: What ? Oh my God ! Thats a super number ! Great man !
Brahmadev: What great sir ? In Chickpet, this is very very less. Others make double than what I do.
Myself: Didn't you feel like completing your education by studying further ?
Brahmadev: Sir, to be honest, none of our family members completed education. To complete my education it might take another 5 - 6 years which I feel is a big waste of time and money. I invested both in my business. Today, I will challenge none of the educated person with 10 years experience will earn as much as I do. What do you say sir ?
Myself: Hmmm....Yes. True. But still education would have helped you grow more than what you are earning today.
Brahmadev: Seriously No sir. Education would give us fear and make us feel that, one has to work under someone to earn their livelihood. Education does not teach us to live independently. I also have many friends who studied along with me and completed graduation. None are into business. Almost all are working in some private firm.
Myself: Hmmmm....So you don't regret completing education ?
Bramhadev: Definitley No sir. I am very happy. (In between our conversation, another customer had purchased around 20 pairs of shirt and pant, and few sarees. Without using a calculator Bramhadev calculated the total cost of the purchase and told the customer the total cost including 10% discount in just 15 - 20 seconds. )
Myself: Boss, you don't even use calculator ?
Bramhadev: Sir, educated people need calculator and mobile phones to calculate. Not me ( Laughs aloud ).
Myself: Started smiling and put my head down (because I was using calculator to calculate the cost of my purchase. LOL.)
Bramhadev: I continuously practiced calculating. I am doing this since 10 years and I have become perfect. I am sure, I will never err in my calculation. After this, I made a purchase and the next whole day, I was thinking about our conversation again and again. I would like to infer what I learnt.
1. Without higher education, Bramhadev is not jobless. Where as our today's graduates with distinction are still in search of a job.
2. Without higher education, Bramhadev has good communication skills. But, today's corporate world complains about our graduates for having no communication skills.
3. Without higher education, Bramhadev earns in lakhs, where as our current generation graduates complains of not having enough salary to pay their EMIs.
4. Without higher education, Bramhadev's mathematical mind works faster than today's graduates who has cleared different levels of mathematics papers with high scores. Today's graduates needs Mobile Phones to perform simple calculation.
5. Without higher education, Bramhadev has no fear of losing his job, but today's graduate employees are always fear of getting fired from the company they are working in.
Now, my question in mind is
"HOW DOES HIGHER EDUCATION HELP ONESELF ? DOES STUDYING MORE BRINGS MORE FEAR IN AN INDIVIDUAL ?

These 10 Posters explains The Two Types Of Travelers

There Are Two Types Of Travelers
Traveling is something that intrigues mostly all of us. Yes, it is true that
there is a wanderer inside everyone. Some like the solitude of their
own company, while others need companions wherever they go.
Some are ready to shell out half their earnings on one trip, while
others can make do with whatever they are offered. From 5 star
hotels to road side camping, traveling as an exercise or as a hobby
is a must for most of us.
Here are 10 posters designed by One World Teleservices that
accurately show the two different types of travelers that exist:

12 troubling Facts About Airplanes That’ll Make You Think Twice About Flying

Remember the first time you flew in an airplane and the crazy thoughts that zipped through your head? Will the door break open? Will the plane have to land on water? Will there be a hijacking? Well, most of us brushed away these negative thoughts trusting technology and the pilot. But the truth is far from what we believe it to be. Here are 12 disturbing facts that will make you think twice before flying:

1. Takeoff is a very dangerous time.

The fear of flying stems from the thought of the plane going down. But the fact is that you are equally unsafe on the ground. Heavy fog and botched up radio signals have resulted in the worst airplane disasters. Mayday, mayday!

2. It's a germ overload.

Agreed, airports and planes look spic-and-span, but the planes may not be as clean from the inside as you assume them to be. With more people than ever queuing up to fly, the in-flight staff might not really have the time to do a thorough cleansing of the cabin. Seats, safety belts, buttons... the germs are everywhere and are waiting to wriggle all over you. Gross!
My advice: Carry a lot of hand sanitiser.

3. Planes technically don't need a pilot.

Yeah, you heard me right. With so much technology around, planes can literally fly to any place on earth. I guess airlines make sure that a human is at the helm of things so that flyers feel safe. We may trust a computer more when it comes to calculations but not when it comes to flying us to the southern hemisphere. Ironic!

4. It's doom if that emergency door gets unlatched.

This will be a scene straight out of 'Final Destination'. If that tiny door unlatches itself then you'd be sucked out. Well that's only if you happen to be close to it. If you are far away, chances are that you'll be turned into ice, courtesy the freezing air that will take over. In any case, the plane will break apart, so it really doesn't matter!

5. The black box can be destroyed.

Contrary to popular belief, the small box is destructible if it comes under the heavy wings of the plane or is exposed to the extreme heat of the plane's fuel. There's still a slim chance that it would emerge intact. You'd be dead anyway!

6. There's more risk of turbulence now than ever before.

Thanks to global warming, there's an increase of carbon dioxide in the air. So the next time you keep your ignition burning for too long at the red light, remember you are contributing that much more to global warming. Which in turn is causing turbulence for someone up in the sky. So yeah, that!

7. Pilots don't eat airline food.

Pilots are served special food on the plane while you are busy wondering why the toast is hard as rock. Reason? Airlines don't want pilots to fall sick! Does that mean...? Dayum!

8. Oxygen masks won't last for more than 15 minutes.

This is scary. Airlines claim that in 15 minutes, the pilot will bring the plane down to an altitude where you can breathe normally. They don't tell you all that because they don't want you to start shitting bricks.

9. Those earphones were plugged into somebody else's ears.

Yuck! Sure, someone cleans the earphones and neatly tucks them back into the plastic cover but I wonder how much effort would someone put into cleaning earphones that are not supposed to go into his own ears.

10. The planes are not as new as you think.

According to 'Airfare Watchdog', an airline expert, the skies are full of old airplanes including the Boeing 717s and the primitive versions of the 757, 767 and 737. Before the production of 757 was brought to a halt, you could have been flying in the same plane that your grandfather flew in 20 years ago. Sounds a lil scary, eh?

11. The pilot is often exhausted.

According to a study, more than half of the pilots have fallen asleep in the cockpit. This is due to their extensive working hours and the toll the time zones take on them. I don't even want to know what happens when both the pilot and the co-pilot are fast asleep at the controls.

12. You might be flying in a plane with the engine down.

Planes are designed to travel extensive periods of time on one engine. Well, pilots know exactly what information to give you and they'll never tell you anything that's bound to cause panic. You'll know that something went horribly wrong only when you're about to crash into a mountain.

So the next time you are on a plane, try not to think of any of these things. I'm sorry if I ruined it for you.
