You can't live a peaceful life when your neighbourhood is brimming with violent
 crimes and political instability. Every year, Institute for Economics and Peace
 comes out with Global Peace Index which is an attempt to measure the relative
 position of peace in various nations. Factors like the level of safety and security
 in society, the extent of domestic and international conflict and the degree
 of militarization are taken into account while making this list.

#20 Czech Republic

With a developed high-income economy and maximum number of
 hospital beds per inhabitant in the Europe, Czech Republic is the
 twentieth most peaceful country in the world.
